We are looking for people to volunteer for our Art House Tour on May 17.

Perks: 

  • Free Preview, Friday night May 15, 6-9pm before the house tour 

  • Being part of a core group of people that make the arts possible in Berwyn

  • Volunteer Appreciation Event, TBD later in the year

Expectations:

  • Each volunteer should be able to attend a volunteer training meeting (virtual)

  • Attend a meeting with the owners/artists

  • Attend the preview event 

  • Be present 10:30am – 4pm at their designated location.

  • Duties outside: check tour tickets, maintain queue, communicate with interior on when to send in more tour goers.

  • Duties inside: assist home/studio owners with flow, make sure tour goers move through the space safely and don’t linger too long, allowing for more to enter; provide breaks for homeowner and answer questions from visitors (script and talking points will be provided)

Marketing

Raising awareness for the organization and events through PR, website and social media content. Helping out at our booth at events throughout the year.

Fundraising/Finance

Developing fundraising opportunities and partners. Identifying grants, activities and events and coordinating the execution and follow up with donors.

Curatorial

Focusing on RFP writing/review/release, artist submissions review, working with building owners, and more.

Pop-Up Art Space/Workshops/Art Events

Developing programming for vacant storefronts, volunteering at workshops and art events.

Event Committees

Developing programming for the event, solicit sponsors, manage volunteers, execute event, i.e. Dia de Los Muertos

Volunteer Coordination

Developing processes for volunteer recruitment, training, engagement, and appreciation.
