Letter C in Black Lives Matter

by Fernando Caldera

"I used a rose for my design for its undeniable beauty. I chose to alter its standard color to show how its beauty remains, regardless of the tone. Color does not take away, but rather adds to its richness and elegance, uplifting the presence of power and strength." F. Caldera

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Fernando Caldera is a Chicago-based mixed-media artist. Otherwise known as FEDZ, he creates images of nature with basic color palettes to give viewers an intense feeling; detailed animal portraits with organic plant silhouette backgrounds is a specialty and highlight of his work. His sculptural work is based on the human condition. Another signature technique of his is the juxtaposition of odd creatures with a playful, friendly feeling and bright colors.
